Start your morning with a short drive from the homestay to the park entrance, where you’ll attend a briefing to prepare for your gorilla trek. You’ll then be grouped with other visitors and assigned experienced guides who track the movements of the gorilla families.
The trek leads you through serene forest landscapes. Depending on the location of the gorillas that day, the walk may take less than an hour or up to three hours. Your guide will point out fresh signs of gorilla activity, such as footprints, feeding sites, or nests.
Upon reaching the gorilla group, you’ll spend about one hour quietly observing these magnificent primates. Witness young gorillas climbing trees, others resting or eating, and the silverback male keeping watch. It’s a peaceful and unforgettable encounter in the heart of the forest.
By late morning or early afternoon, you’ll return to the homestay to rest and reflect on this unique wildlife experience.
